Segway Fun Tours at Barcelo Maya

* NOTE: The Barcelo Maya Resort is undergoing remodelling labors at the moment, so our tours there will be put on pause until the year’s end!

Our tours start everyday at 09:10, 11:30, 13:30 and 15:30 Hrs.

Here are some tips before the tour:

  • Bring sneakers, sports or closed shoes
  • Bring sunscreen lotion
  • Bring a photo camera (we will be making some stops in some highlight points to take great pictures)

Our tour begins with the explanation of how the equipment works during our training at the beach next to the “Rancho Grande” restaurant. We will make our first stop at the Kukulkan Theater, where our guides will inform us about the show that will be presented that night. Up next, we will reach the water sports section, where you will find out about water activities such as snorkeling, diving , kayak and many others.

We will also stop at the Palenque Theater and discover what other show will be presented that night. Afterwards we will stop at the Jaguar statue where our guides will explain its meaning. Later, we will learn about Mayan stadiums and their tournaments. Afrerwards we will get a beautiful glimpse of Puerto Aventuras (a community with lots of recreational activities) from the Palace Lobby. Later, we will reach the Colonial and the Tropical Lobby, the Plaza Mexicana and The Jaguar club.

On the way back, our guide will show us the mini golf course, the Teens Club and Sports Bar, places that offer a variety of activities for both teenagers and adults. There will be one more stop at the Caribe and the Maya Beach lobby where you will be able to show off your skills driving our SEGWAY X2 in an off road trail. As our last stop, we will drop by the recycling area of the resort where they preserve the environment.

At the end of the tour, our guides will ask for our feedback, comments, opinions and hand a questionnaire. Your thoughts are very important for us, for we want to give the most enjoyable, fun and innovative experience in the Mayan Riviera.
